From Andhra Pradesh to FourSix46: The Long Way Round

There's a version of my story that's mostly paperwork: Student visa, Graduate visa, Companies House filing, 11 September 2025. I've told that version elsewhere on this site, because founders considering the same route asked for the mechanics, and the mechanics matter.

This isn't that version. This is the one about the years in between — what it actually felt like to go from Andhra Pradesh to a registered company in London, and why the distance between those two points was never really about geography.

Where it starts

I grew up in Andhra Pradesh, India. Nothing about that says "future founder of a UK parent brand" — and it shouldn't. Most of what eventually became FourSix46® Global Ltd had nothing to do with ambition laid out in advance. It came from smaller, more specific things: a number on a motorcycle registration plate in 2018, a decision to study Information Technology, a choice to leave India for the United Kingdom in 2022.

None of those things looked connected at the time. They only look like a path in hindsight, which is true of almost everyone's story and rarely how it feels while you're living it.

Why the UK, why IT

I moved to the United Kingdom in 2022 to complete a Master of Science in Information Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, graduating in 2023. That decision — study technology, specifically, in a country I'd never lived in before — is the hinge the rest of this turns on. Technology wasn't a means to an end. It became the foundation every venture under FourSix46® is built on: Stack46 is the engineering layer, Cinevenn runs on a modern technology stack, Route46 was re-platformed with Stack46's engineering, and even 46 Dogs, when it's built out properly, will be a technology-first platform for welfare work. That's not a coincidence — it's the direct throughline from a Master's degree in Cardiff to a five-venture ecosystem in London.

The part that doesn't fit in a visa explainer

What a visa-mechanics post can't really capture is the specific kind of patience required between "arrived to study" and "registered a company." There's no shortcut through that gap. You study. You finish. You make a decision about whether to stay. You watch the runway you have and decide what to build on it. None of that is glamorous, and none of it photographs well, which is probably why it gets skipped over in most founder stories in favour of the launch moment.

I'd rather be honest about it: the years between arriving in the UK and registering FourSix46® Global Ltd were not a montage. They were a Master's degree, a decision to stay, and then the unglamorous work of building something worth registering.

The distance that matters isn't the one on a map. It's the one between deciding and doing.

What the number 46 had to do with it

None of this journey was originally about branding. In 2018 — before the UK, before the Master's, before any of it — 46 was just a registration number on my Royal Enfield back in India. I liked it and decided, almost on a whim, to make it mean something. I didn't know then that it would end up naming a UK-registered parent company seven years later. That's the part of the story I find genuinely strange in hindsight: the number came from India, the company came from London, and the thread connecting them is just a person who refused to let go of something small for long enough that it became load-bearing.

FourSix46® Global Ltd was registered in England and Wales on 11 September 2025, Company No. 16712658. On paper, that's a Companies House filing. In practice, it's the point where a decision made in Andhra Pradesh in 2018, a Master's degree completed in Cardiff in 2023, and a choice to stay and build in London all converged into one entity. Stack46, Cinevenn, 46 Dogs and Route46 all sit under that single registration now — four ventures, one identity, one long way round to get there.
